‘Bala’ box office collection Week 3: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer inches close to 100-crore mark on third Friday at the domestic box office

The Ayushmann Khurrana starer ‘Bala‘ maintained its winning streak at the box office as it entered its third Friday. According to reports on BoxofficeIndia.com, the film added an estimated Rs 1.25 crore, to its kitty, thus taking the overall collections to approximately Rs 96.58 crore net. 

Falling short of just over Rs 3 crore, the film is expected to officially enter the 100-crore club in its third week at the Indian box office. After ‘Badhaai Ho‘ and ‘Dream Girl‘, ‘Bala’ will soon become yet another Ayushmann Khurrana starer to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark. This news comes a day after the film surpassed a gross collection of Rs 150 crore globally.
Taking to their social media handles, lead actors Ayushmann and Bhumi Pednekar exuded their happiness on reaching the milestone and shared posts thanking fans for all the love. The team kicked off celebrations with a grand bash that saw the stars party it up with all those involved in its phenomenal success.

Opening with a smashing Rs 69.43 crore, in the first week, the film went on to earn an estimated Rs 25.90 crore in week 2 and entered its third week with a collection of Rs 1.25 crore.


 Apart from raking in the big bucks at the box office, ‘Bala‘ has also become Ayushmann’s first film to be released in Saudi Arabia. 

Set in Kanpur, the film revolves around a man suffering from premature balding and the lack of confidence and societal pressure which runs with it. 

The film is helmed by ‘Stree‘ director Amar Kaushik also stars Javed Jaffery and Saurabh Shukla in supporting roles. 

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ayushmann is currently gearing up for his next release ‘Gulabo Sitabo‘. Apart from that Ayushmann is currently shooting for ‘Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhaan‘ in Varanasi.
